We have a rare opportunity for a PR Account Director to join our fabulous energy team in Aberdeen. We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious team player with a passion for the energy industry who wants to play an active part in our continued success. That means delivering best‑in‑class work to existing clients, securing and progressing new business opportunities and championing team development. As a senior member of the Aberdeen team, you’ll be involved in team resourcing and planning, mentoring and line management.

- Have a strong track record within a PR agency. Ideally, you will have at least three years’ experience at a senior level.
- Have a proven ability to successfully apply strategic thinking to PR campaigns.

- Can cut through complex topics to develop effective and creative communications.
- Want to help manage, develop and inspire team members, creating and sustaining a high-performance team.

The Job
This role is full‑time on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the strategy, oversight, and relationships for some of the agency’s most high‑profile and longstanding clients.
- Strategic leadership of client accounts, providing senior counsel and taking responsibility for team delivery.
- Writing and presenting fully integrated communications strategies, in collaboration with relevant colleagues, underpinned by insight and research.
- Translating agreed strategy into comprehensive implementation plans backed up by rigorous evaluation metrics and client reporting.
- Leading on large value tenders and new business pitches, identifying opportunities to cross‑sell.
- Championing industry best practice and promoting BIG’s expertise.
- Ability to support, mentor and line manage a team.
