Overview
As a member of the Handover team you will play a key part in the smooth handover of cars to customers ensuring the highest level of customer service is maintained. As part of the Handover team you will be responsible for presenting a professional front at all times and being a champion of excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure customers are kept informed of transaction progress, including making appointment and confirmation calls prior to collection.
- Confirm that vehicles are thoroughly checked and prepared to the required standard before customer collection.
- Review deal files to verify all relevant paperwork and monies have been received and completed correctly.
- Use online websites to tax the customer’s vehicle (or provide V62 form and relevant advice) and offer arrangements for a customer’s insurance.
- Hand over the vehicle to the customer, explaining necessary information to ensure satisfaction and safe driving.
- Hand over the Gard X Kit if included in the order.
- Complete paperwork for the part‑exchange vehicle if applicable.
- Build relationships with customers to encourage positive Trust Pilot reviews and repeat business.
- Complete paperwork tasks efficiently and with high accuracy.
Person Specification
- Must have a valid, full UK licence (essential).
- Well‑presented, confident, comfortable communicating with a diverse customer base.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills and positive attitude.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Honesty, integrity and team player.
- Effective time management and flexibility.
- Literate, numerate and proficient computer skills.
