BIG Motoring World is now looking for an Administrator to join our HR team based in our Head Office in Gillingham, Kent. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations, supporting employee journeys, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring that our HR processes run smoothly and professionally. The role is office based, full time 5 days a week. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys structure, values confidentiality, and wants to grow their HR career in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the existing HR team in a full range of HR duties covering recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance management, and support our Management Team with staff meetings.
  • Preparing offers and contracts of employment.
  • Providing administrative support with new starters, changes of employment, and leavers.
  • Ensuring compliance with Right to Work checks, driving licences, and DBS checks.
  • Liaising with Management Teams to complete Probation Reviews.
  • Monitoring and assisting Management Teams with sickness and absence reports.
  • Conducting exit interviews with leavers.
  • Assisting with note‑taking at investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings as required.
  • Responding to general HR queries from staff, escalating where necessary.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent administration and organisational skills.
  • Confident and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Experience of minute / note taking at regular formal meetings (essential).
  • Experience in an HR setting.
