Talking Therapies is a user led mental health charity that has developed considerable expertise in the field of primary care mental health. The charity currently delivers a range of services including self help support groups, cCBT services, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. The charity is funded by various NHS Trusts and works across the North West with the head office based in Hulme, Manchester.
What you’ll be doing
As a Team Leader, you’ll manage and lead a team of trainee and qualified PWP’s, developing their clinical knowledge and skills. You’ll also play a key part in building links between services. While managing your own reduced caseload, you’ll be assessing and supporting adults who are experiencing common mental health difficulties such as mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety and low mood.
What we need from you
- Qualified PWP status, having completed an approved IAPT PWP postgraduate certificate, alongside eligibility for professional registration with the BPS or BABCP
- Ideally, you’ll have an IAPT supervisor qualification, and if not, you’ll need to be willing and able to successfully complete this qualification.
- Experience of leading staff or projects and working with other providers to improve services
- Strong written and spoken communication skills
- Enthusiasm, confidence and the ability to work flexibly without close direction
- An ability to apply low-intensity therapeutic interventions to clinical problems
- Good time management and organisational skills relating to the overall number of client contacts offered and clinical sessions carried out per week
- You need an enhanced level DBS check for this role
What we will offer you in return
- A permanent, full-time contract for 37.5 hours a week
- An annual salary of £40,823 (NHS Band 6 + 2 years) and the opportunity to develop your career
- You get 25 days holiday, and 30 once you’ve been here five years
- Based at Stockport Talking Therapies, Oakland House, 76 Talbot Road, Manchester, M16 0PQ, but travel to other locations across Greater Manchester will be required
