We are currently seeking a Senior Development Designer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday – Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm.

The Role:

As a Senior Development Designer, you will transform point of sale display and retail concepts into high-quality, manufacturable solutions that drive engagement in retail audiences. You will develop concepts from initial brief through to final production, creating detailed technical drawings, material specifications and production methods that are accurate, practical and cost-effective. Working across several projects at once, you will manage priorities, meet deadlines and ensure all documentation translates to the manufacturing process.

Additionally, you will:

  • Ensure drawings, tolerances, materials and finishes are accurate and production-ready
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, suppliers and other departments
  • Assist with the management and development of other designers

About You:

To be considered as a Senior Development Designer, you will need:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a POS design and manufacturing company working as a Development Designer
  • The ability to ensure designs are fit for purpose, within budget and meet the aesthetic requirements of the design intent and client expectations
  • A strong understanding of current manufacturing techniques in plastics and sheet metal fabrication, injection moulding, joinery, etc.
  • Competency in the use of SolidWorks
  • A portfolio reflecting work within the retail design sector which demonstrates originality and a broad range of skills on live, professional projects for part and assembly, modelling technical drawings, bill of materials, etc.
