We are looking for an IT Support Technician to join our team in an entry level IT support role, providing first-line technical assistance to users across the business. This is a great opportunity for someone with basic IT knowledge who is eager to develop their skills in a hands‑on environment. The successful candidate will support day to day IT queries, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and gain exposure to a wide range of systems and technologies. We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to learn and progress within an IT career, with plenty of opportunity for development and growth within the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional, efficient technical support for Head Office and remote staff (in-person, phone, and remote desktop tools).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues promptly.
- Administer the IT Helpdesk system; prioritising, assigning, and tracking support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
- Manage IT stock levels and procurement of hardware and peripherals.
- Administer mobile device management systems, including setup, restrictions, and SIM management.
Key Skills & Experience
- Basic understanding of IT systems, hardware, and software.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot simple technical issues and follow problem‑solving processes.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues in a clear, user-friendly way.
- Strong customer service skills and a helpful, professional attitude.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills within an IT support environment.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple requests effectively.
- Basic knowledge of networking principles (desirable but not essential).
- Awareness of IT security and data protection best practices.
- GCSEs/A-Levels, IT‑related qualification, or equivalent practical experience (desirable).
This is initially a temp‑perm job, but will lead to a permanent job at 12 weeks.
