We are working with a key player in the geotechnical arena – our client is looking to appoint numerous site engineers to support them with their secured work.

These roles are totally site based, no report writing, Van provided – superb opportunity.

Our site engineer will manage on‑site ground investigations, collects and interprets soil/rock data, supervises contractors, and supports geotechnical design work.

Their role ensures that the subsurface conditions are properly understood before construction begins.

  • Conduct and supervise borehole drilling, trial pits, CPT/SPT testing, and soil/rock sampling.
  • Organise and manage intrusive investigations, including health & safety compliance and subcontractor supervision.
  • Install and monitor geotechnical instruments such as piezometers, inclinometers, and extensometers.
  • Perform groundwater and ground‑gas monitoring and then return samples for laboratory testing.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics, geology, and groundwater behaviour.
  • Ability to interpret geotechnical data and produce clear technical reports.
  • Competence in site supervision and health & safety management.
  • Communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and regulators.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical software (e. g., PLAXIS, Geo Studio). Advantage not essential.

Ideally the successful candidates will possess a relevant degree or HND, entry level candidates should have 6 months + doing a similar role, experienced candidates will have 18 months +.
