Our client is a respected Main Contractor and part of a larger, well-capitalized group with a strong reputation for delivering landmark developments across the UAE. Their current portfolio includes high-rise towers, mixed-use communities, villas, townhouses, and lifestyle-driven retail and leisure assets. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a MEP Director to join their Dubai-based team and lead the full MEP delivery across a portfolio of complex, high-value developments.

The Role: The MEP Director will take full ownership of all MEP functions from concept design through construction, commissioning, and successful handover. You’ll manage both internal teams and external contractors, ensuring that all MEP works are delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance — on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all MEP-related activities across multiple large-scale projects
  • Oversee internal engineers and external MEP subcontractors
  • Ensure MEP works align with project timelines, cost targets, and statutory regulations (QHSE, RERA, etc.)
  • Manage the design review, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to MEP teams
  • Act as the key point of contact for all MEP-related project matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 15+ years of experience, with a strong track record delivering major building and high-rise projects
  • Must have taken projects from inception through to successful handover
  • Experience with leading main contractors or top-tier MEP contractors
  • Proven ability to manage large site teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of QHSE, local authority requirements, and MEP best practices
  • Commercially savvy, with solid knowledge of project controls and budgeting
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
