Big Energy Group is looking for a highly-motivated Energy Consultant to join our Stockton-on-Tees office. Please note this role is available on a hybrid basis (4 days onsite, 1 day working from home).

The company has offices in Harrogate and the Tees Valley and serves more than 600 clients including FCC Environment, Bolton Wanderers Football Club and Double Eleven.
Purpose of Role
As an Energy Consultant, you will be connecting with businesses to generate qualified leads, build relationships, and broker new energy supply agreements. You will operate with a high level of autonomy, managing your pipeline from initial outreach through to contract close. In order to do well in this role, you must be fluent in the UK energy market and comfortable delivering results in a performance-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Prospect for new business through outbound calling and marketing, explaining the benefits of utilising Big Energy Group’s procurement and advisory services.
- Collect client information during the qualification process, including but not limited to contract end date, supplier information and consumption profile.
- Prepare and issue energy contract tenders across various contract types, working with suppliers to obtain appropriate pricing and commercial offers.
- Compile, analyse and present tender results in a clear, concise format, presenting these back to clients effectively to support informed decision making.
- Maintain an up-to-date CRM system by accurately managing your sales pipeline and inputting client interactions in order to support seamless service delivery.
- Adhere to internal and external sales compliance rules at all times, ensuring your business development activities and communications are ethical and conform to industry regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities and market developments, sharing appropriate information with clients and colleagues.
Skills & Experience
- B2B energy experience with a broker/supplier.
- A self-starter attitude with a drive to exceed targets.
- Confident communicator (strong verbal and written skills).
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of HubSpot CRM an advantage.
