Role

To provide a friendly and helpful welcome to the visitors of our Big C Centre’s.

Meet and Greet

  • Meet and greet visitors at the Centre’s main entrance providing a friendly and polite welcome.
  • Direct and accompany visitors to their appropriate destination.
  • Provide information on local amenities at the Centre.
  • Enter and re-book service users into the Big C services using online system Cliniko.

Support & Listening Ear

  • Provide a listening ear to our service users.
  • Answer general queries about the Centre and its services.
  • Help support the team to clear and clean tables.

Hospitality Host

  • Provide refreshments to service users and Centre visitors.
  • Set up rooms for support groups and meetings as per centre diary.
  • General front of house tidying and restock refreshment supplies.

Time commitment

There is Support & Information Centres across Norfolk located in; Norwich, Great Yarmouth and Kings Lynn.

Roles available Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

About the organisation

As a regional cancer charity, Big C are dedicated to supporting anyone affected by cancer in Norfolk and neighbouring counties whilst working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes.

There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. 1 in 2 people will get cancer in their lifetime. Big C seeks and implements new approaches and projects to make sure that no one is missing our on the opportunity to access our support. Big C’s work focuses on 6 key areas; support, research, equipment, education, income generation and people.

The dedication of our employees, volunteers, supporters and fundraisers is how we continue to improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
