Volunteer with us and become part of the Big C family. We are looking for Volunteer Retail Assistants to join our Big C shop in Cromer to help with promoting and maximising sales by working within our stockroom and/or on our shop floor.
Roles may include:
- Processing sales transactions through the till
- Stock rotation
- Pricing stock
- Tidying the shop floor and stock room
- Assisting with customer enquiries
- Assisting, when necessary, with shop window displays
- Sorting through donated stock and bric-a-brac items for their suitability for sale
- Hanging and steaming garments
Recruitment Process: Application form, informal interview, and two satisfactory references.
Time commitment: Opening Hours: 9:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Sunday. We are happy to consider any availability you may have within our opening hours.
About the organisation: There are an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK. Roughly 400,000 people are told the news that they have cancer each year, and over 8000 per year in Norfolk and Waveney alone. Since 1980, Big C has been dedicated to the fight against cancer and today, we help thousands of people affected by cancer across our county, while working with key partners in research and healthcare to improve future outcomes. Our work focuses on four key areas – supporting people affected by cancer, funding world-class local research into cancer, providing vital medical equipment and facilities in the county's main acute hospital Trusts, and providing interventional and presentational education programmes for the general public and healthcare professionals.
