Digital Communications Coordinator - 6 month fixed term contract

Hours: 24 hours per week as agreed between Monday to Friday, generally 9am to 5pm. This will include working every Tuesday or Thursday with other days to be agreed. Some out-of-hours work (team rota for social media cover) will be necessary and if work is carried out time in lieu will be given.

Salary: £18,294.86 to £20,188.80 (£26,680 - £29,442 full time equivalent (subject to skills and experience)

Contract: Initially a six month fixed term contract/secondment cover

Location: Head Office, Centrum, Norwich Research Park. Work from other Big C premises or public events may be required from time to time.

Big C is looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic Digital Communications Coordinator to join our Marketing & Communications team for a six-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for content creation, social media and digital communications to help raise awareness of Big C's services, engage supporters and volunteers, and share the impact of our work across Norfolk and surrounding areas.

About the role

You'll create and publish engaging content across our digital channels, helping to tell inspiring stories and keep our communications fresh, relevant and impactful.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering social media content
  • Managing day-to-day social media activity and engagement
  • Writing content for digital, email and print communications
  • Producing newsletters and email campaigns using Mailchimp
  • Updating website content using WordPress
  • Creating case studies that showcase the impact of Big C's services

About you

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience in social media management and digital marketing
  • Excellent writing, copywriting and proofreading skills
  • Experience creating content for different audiences and channels
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent IT and digital platform skills
  • A creative, proactive and collaborative approach
  • Experience of Mailchimp, WordPress, Sprout Social, Canva or working within the charity sector would be advantageous.
