Institutional macro investors make billion-dollar allocation decisions using frameworks that are only as good as the intelligence behind them. Most of what is available is generic, slow, and distributed through sell-side channels built for a different era. This platform is different. Built around the research and market views of one of the most widely followed macro economists in institutional finance, it combines proprietary data infrastructure, market regime signals, and daily research commentary to give institutional investors a genuine edge on macro. 50% of the world's largest macro hedge funds are already paying customers, including multi-strategy platforms, systematic managers, and major European asset owners.

We are at $300K USD ARR across 20+ institutional clients on annual subscriptions. The product converts. The client list is remarkable for a business at this stage. Sales to date have been largely founder‑led and inbound. What we do not yet have is a dedicated commercial operator who can build the distribution engine that takes this from $300K to $1M+ ARR and beyond. The business is spinning out of a European venture studio as a standalone company. The GM owns the P&L with no CEO layer above them and is the senior commercial operator of the business. A CTO is already in seat. The founding research and product team remain closely involved and are a commercial asset from day one. The opportunity is to come in with top‑tier institutional relationships already in place, a product that converts, and a research engine with genuine credibility, then build the machine that takes it from here.

Tasks

  • Build independent distribution within 6 months: own the pipeline and the outbound motion, generating deal flow that does not depend on the founder's network.
  • Double top‑line revenue in 2026: own the full commercial funnel from first outreach through onboarding and renewal.
  • Establish the platform as the reference macro intelligence product: category narrative, conference presence, and at least one strategic partnership live by month 12.
  • Build the team and expand the TAM: 2-3 key hires, product roadmap shaped from market opportunity, clear path to $2M+ ARR by month 18.

Requirements

  • Genuine macro or institutional finance fluency. The buyer is a hedge fund PM or a family office CIO. You need to earn their trust in the first meeting, not spend it learning the language.
  • Has personally opened new institutional accounts at a data, research, or fintech business. Not managed a warm book, but built cold pipeline into hedge funds, asset managers, or family offices.
  • Has owned an ARR number in a B2B subscription or data business and hit it. Closed deals with institutional buyers in the $10K to $100K+ ACV range.
  • Has represented a brand independently at senior level: spoken at industry events, led client relationships, or owned a strategic partnership end to end.
  • Operator mindset. Does not wait for a department. Builds what is needed and moves fast in a small, high‑velocity team.
  • Based in London or New York, or willing to relocate.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary with a performance‑based bonus carrying significant upside tied to commercial outcomes.
  • Equity in the spin‑out. This person is being brought in as a founding executive of a new company.
  • Full backing of the studio across product, technology, and senior leadership.
  • Access to the founder's platform and institutional network as a commercial asset from day one.
