Salary: £28,301 per annum
Shifts - 4 on / 4 off - 7am-5.15pm
The Role:
- Operate LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste material to landfill
- Complete daily pre-start checks on vehicles before operation
- Compliance with driver hours’ rules and transport legislation
- Develop a good working relationship with 3rd party off-takers
- Maintain a good standard of vehicle cleanliness
- Undertake vehicle wheel re-torque on a weekly basis
- Ensure compliance with defect report procedure
- Ensure contract runs in compliance with internal and external safety/environmental/permit/planning processes and procedures, as well as any contract requirements
- Maintain robust documentation records
Essential criteria for the role:
- Previous experience as an LGV Driver and a current class 1 or class 2 license
- Nationally recognised Driver CPC driver card
- Driver digital tacho card
- Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate this into high quality, high pace output
- Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels
- Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan making best use of time
