We are currently seeking a Tanker Driver who will report directly to the Transport Manager and will be responsible for the professional and efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of customers’ waste, while adhering to health and safety and other company procedures.
Principal Accountabilities
- Drive and operate vehicles professionally as directed by the traffic office and operations manager, ensuring efficient collection, transportation, and disposal of waste.
- Follow company processes and procedures, including health and safety protocols, promoting safe practices and reporting near misses.
- Perform routine vehicle checks accurately and report defects promptly.
- Complete all paperwork, including daily timesheets, accurately and on time.
- Provide sickness, breakdown, and holiday cover for colleagues when necessary.
- Attend training, meetings, and toolbox talks as required to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
- Develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers, providing high levels of customer service.
- Perform any other reasonable job-related tasks, including ad hoc duties.
Requirements
- Previous Class 1/2 driving experience
- DCPC certification
Education & Qualifications
- Class 1/2 LGV License
Skills and Behaviours
- Ability to safely maneuver LGVs into restricted and confined spaces
- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Willingness to work away from home regularly, including overnight stays in your cab
- Strong interpersonal skills
