The Senior Reporting Accountant will play a key role in the external reporting processes for the Group. Reporting to the Head of External Reporting, key responsibilities include:
- Performing the group consolidation and producing consolidated financial statements at year end.
- Producing technical accounting papers to support complex technical judgements, including management papers for the year end audit.
- Liaising with divisional finance teams to solve accounting queries as they arise.
- Managing external auditors to ensure a smooth year end audit process.
- Assisting with the implementation of new accounting standards, ensuring reporting is IFRS compliant.
- Maintaining the Group Accounting Manual, ensuring all accounting policies are appropriately reflected throughout the group's reporting.
- Supporting the ongoing entity rationalisation project to simplify the group structure.
- Preparing subsidiary financial statements, ensuring compliance with Companies Act 2006 and relevant accounting standards (UK GAAP).
Our Essential Requirements:
- Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA).
- Recent experience in auditing or preparing financial statements for a large group.
- Sound understanding of IFRS and statutory reporting requirements.
