The Anaerobic Digestion Multi Skilled Operator / Mobile Plant Operator is responsible for the operation of the anaerobic digestion process and mobile plant, as well as housekeeping and maintenance activities, in compliance with site licences/PPC permits, health and safety legislation, ABPR and planning conditions and Company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Material handling operations using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with site environmental permit and municipal contract
  • Work in accordance with SHEQ policies, including the reporting of close calls & incidents
  • Involvement in best practice and continuous improvement, undertaking regular site audits/checks
  • Close working relationship with BDR Management Team and staff
  • Comply with changes to company standards and legislation
  • Undertake light maintenance & cleaning of equipment
  • Assist site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health & safety, behavioural safety observations, KPI's and implementing necessary remedial actions in the event of variance
  • Ensure the highest level of housekeeping is maintained
  • To work in MBT & weighbridge areas of site where required

Essential Criteria

  • Basic IT experience in Microsoft (SCADA would be desirable)
  • Loading Shovel Experience
  • Assisting delivering continuous improvement within an operational environment
  • Development and implementation of data capture and recording systems
  • Good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Good people skills; be able to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally
