We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulation Policy Lead based in Stratford-Upon-Avon. As the Regulation & Policy Lead, you will be the department's expert on existing and emerging environmental legislation under producer responsibility and EPR regimes, managing the Environment Agency scheme submission template. You will provide technical guidance and policy advice to both internal and external stakeholders. You will handle all technical aspects and queries, keeping stakeholders informed and working closely with the Sourcing Manager (obligation management), Operations Manager (key deadlines), and Commercial Manager (customers and services). The role also involves preparing reports on environmental policy, staying updated on new developments, and collaborating with the Scheme Operations Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory and ISO standards.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert for Packaging, WEEE & Battery Producer Responsibility.
  • Manage a team of Compliance Managers and provide policy/regulatory advice.
  • Monitor compliance processes and ensure alignment with regulations.
  • Represent compliance schemes in government consultations, policy meetings, and trade associations.
  • Provide team training on regulations and maintain training documentation.
  • Manage the EA submission template, including registration and resubmissions.
  • Maintain key client relationships through proactive account management.
  • Support during busy periods, promote services, and ensure QA compliance.

  • Excellent knowledge of Producer Responsibility Regulations and practical application.
  • Experience working with the Environment Agency and its procedures.
  • Degree-level qualification with strong Excel skills for large data files.
  • Proficient in other office applications with high numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to interpret legislation and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
