Process Engineer

Location: Redcar
Hours of work: Monday to Friday days (37.5 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and optimisation of manufacturing processes to boost efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve product quality.
  • Use data and analytics to monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive fact‑based improvements.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) to deliver continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement scalable process solutions.
  • Create and maintain clear process documentation, SOPs, P&IDs, and tooling support for the shop floor.
  • Ensure processes meet safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Lead or support projects including process changes, equipment upgrades, and new installations, on time and within budget.
  • Design and modify processes to improve efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, and product quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor\’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or other relevant discipline)
  • Full, current UK driving licence
  • Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings and principles
  • Managing process and lean improvement projects
  • The following job titles would be considered relevant to this role and include, but are not limited to: Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Production Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Process Improvement Engineer, and Operations Engineer
