The People Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to senior leaders, delivering the people agenda that supports business growth and operational efficiency. The role requires a commercially focused HR professional to support the delivery of the People Strategy in a fast-paced, operational environment. This role is critical to aligning people priorities with business objectives, with a strong emphasis on talent development, recruitment, and organisational design.
Your core responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders to design and implement our People Strategy to enhance business performance.
- Support in the delivery of large-scale TUPE transfers and deliver management of local consultation exercises (eg, redundancies, pay negotiations, organisational change etc).
- Drive the talent agenda to deliver tangible outputs by way of retention, promotion and ensure succession is well thought out and planned ahead.
- Use people data and insight to influence decision-making and drive measurable outcomes and benefits to the business.
- Lead complex change initiatives, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and implement initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience, ensuring a high-performing, engaged, and motivated workforce
- Develop and coach line managers to ensure effective people management, mitigating risks associated with ER activities.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to understand financial performance and translate business objectives into effective People strategies
- Experience managing business change including redundancy and TUPE projects
- Proactively identifies business risk and opportunity
- Strong analytical mindset, with experience using People data and metrics to drive decision-making
- Demonstrable experience of performance management, talent management and succession planning
