Role Purpose: ADR Driver Training Specialist (Regional) is a role focusing on ensuring drivers operate safely, compliantly, and efficiently across the North Region fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment and Onboarding: support hiring process and deliver 3‑day Driver Induction.
- Ongoing Driver Training: provide regular refresher and mode training.
- Record Management: maintain driver competence records using Express Class.
- Post‑Incident Support: offer reassessment and retraining after incidents.
- Driving Performance Reviews: analyse driving data with management to identify support needs.
- Behavioural Interventions: conduct targeted support for drivers requiring behavioural improvements.
- Continuous Improvement and Development: enhance training delivery, optimise driver learning, and pursue personal professional development.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years HGV driving experience, including multiple HGV modes.
- Valid Class 1 HGV licence, DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Valid ADR qualification with Waste vacuum tanker experience.
- Proven experience in driver training and/or transport roles.
- Organised, proactive, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Strong working knowledge of driver legislation and health & safety requirements.
