Location: Poplars AD Plant, Cannock (WS11 8NQ)

Salary: £40,560.00 per annum

Hours: Average 42 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 4 Days On, 4 Days Off, 4 Nights On, 4 Days Off

Day Shifts: 07:00 - 19:00 | Night Shifts: 19:00 - 07:00

Shift Allowance: 10% additional payment for night shifts worked between 19:00 and 07:00

Cover Shifts: Plus paid 26 cover shifts per year

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance across the plant.
  • Diagnose faults quickly and carry out effective repairs.
  • Support installation work and equipment improvements.
  • Drive plant reliability, uptime and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with operations teams to minimise downtime.
  • Coordinate specialist maintenance activities with contractors.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
  • Support preventative maintenance programmes and root cause analysis.

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Mechanical or Electrical Fitter role.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced process, manufacturing, waste, water or industrial environment.
  • Understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles.
  • Ability to prioritise and respond effectively to breakdowns.
  • Relevant Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification preferred.
