Keenan Recycling, part of Biffa, provides food waste collection services for businesses including restaurants, hotels, care homes, hospitals, and prisons. We also collect food waste on behalf of waste management companies, brokers, and councils. Using advanced technology, we process food waste by transporting it to anaerobic digestion plants, where it is converted into biogas for electricity, heat, or biofuel for transport.

The role of an LGV Driver involves collecting and emptying food waste wheelie bins on a multi-collection basis.

This role is physically demanding, requiring comfort with late starts and outdoor work throughout the year and in all weather conditions. It is ideal for those who enjoy working independently outdoors, making a positive impact on the environment and communities.

Duties:

  • Multi-collections of food waste wheelie bins
  • Cover weekend work where applicable
  • Perform additional duties as required
  • Hold a Class C Licence
  • Proven record of safe and efficient driving
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, prioritize effectively, and see tasks through to completion
