Help us make a difference as Site Operative at our household waste recycling centre in Crawley. £12.91 per hour + recycling bonus.
Summer - any 5 days in 7 - all week (inc. Sat & Sun) / HWRS Summer - 8.45am to 6.15pm. Winter - closed Thursday / HWRS Winter - 8.45am to 4.15pm.
A quick look at the role: You will assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site, together with assistance to general public visiting the site. Also ensure that waste brought onto the site is segregated as much as possible for recycling, adhering to Company policies and procedures including H&S, environmental and operational requirements.
Your core responsibilities:
- Assist in the safe, efficient and profitable operation by providing operative services together with interface with the general public.
- Serve the needs of the site operations in respect of operative services generally within (but not exclusive to) the following areas – picking and segregation of waste within the site and floor, cleaning of yard areas.
- Advise and assist centre users, to maximise segregation and recycling.
- Redirect commercial customers and portray the best corporate image.
