Control Centre Operative in Stockport
£12,57 per hour / £24,506
Do you have a keen eye for detail and an interest in health and safety?
We are looking for a control centre operative to join our growing team in Stockport to monitor the health, safety and service performance of our recycling and waste management collection crews across the UK, by analysing live-feeds from multiple cameras.
You will help to identify good working practices, as well as opportunities for improvement, recording and sharing these with our operational teams to help continuously improve the way we work.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with team members and other stakeholders, ensuring clarity and accuracy
- Maintain a strong attention to detail in all tasks and processes
- Stay informed about health and safety standards in the waste management industry (prior knowledge is a plus, but full training will be provided)
- Apply analytical skills to identify opportunities for enhancing health and safety practices
- Demonstrate a passion for improving workplace safety and supporting a culture of continuous improvement
Our Essential Requirements
- At least a GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficient in using IT systems
- Knowledge of hazard/near miss reporting procedures
- Health and Safety experience
- Experience working with multiple computer screens simultaneously
