Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to create, manage, develop, and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities to deliver profitable revenue growth for your division. The role involves managing day-to-day and strategic issues within the new business team, driving sales activities, and ensuring Biffa remains ahead of the competition in service offering, business model, and operations.

Your core responsibilities

  • Proactively and reactively sell profitable new business within a territory to meet targets.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual new business targets.
  • Manage a sales territory and prospect lists for business opportunities.
  • Report calls, leads, quotes, and contract activity using the company\’s system.
  • Produce and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reports.
  • Coordinate with regional managers to determine sales strategies within the region.
  • Act as the primary interface between Biffa and target customers.
  • Handle sales prospecting and pricing negotiations.
  • Generate a sales pipeline focused on new business.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in selling contracted services and consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
