About The Role

As a HR Advisor / People Advisor at Biffa, you’ll play a key role in delivering consistent, expert people advice to managers across the business. Working in a fast‑paced environment, you’ll manage a broad range of employee relations cases, provide practical and legally sound guidance, and support key business change projects including restructures and TUPE transfers. Partnering closely with People Business Partners and operational teams, you’ll help drive fair outcomes, support business performance, and make a real impact for both our people and the business.

Responsibilities

  • Providing expert, consistent advice on all employee relations matters
  • Managing your own cases from start to resolution
  • Supporting organisational change, including restructures, redundancies, and TUPE transfers
  • Building strong relationships and coaching managers to develop capability
  • Delivering engaging training and ensuring advice is aligned with employment law and best practice

Qualifications

  • Experience managing a variety of employee relations cases, including complex ones
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law and business change processes (e.g., TUPE)
  • High emotional intelligence and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a fast‑paced team
