DescriptionHelp us make a difference as a Senior Site Chemist at our site in Atherstone (CV9 1JG).Whilst giving the highest priority to Safety, Health and Environmental goals, you will analyse and improve operational efficiencies, maximise financial performance, develop and deliver customer service excellence for external and internal clients, develop the potential of the Transfer Station through market-driven innovation, and manage the performance and development of personnel; Focus on process and human safety by implementing and monitoring adherence to rules and lead indicators in line with the Balanced Business Plan, Working Safety Tracker and individual performance targets. Drive operational excellence across the site in compliance with its permit, licence, discharge consent and all other legal requirements. This includes delivering no EA CAR scores from site visits, no major breaches of discharge consent, no reportable emissions and no waste stock held on site for more than six months. Review site bookings to ensure sufficient capacity, labour and resources are available, highlighting any potential issues to the Site Manager immediately. Drive the cultural transformation needed to champion a team-based working environment where operator input is valued, suggestions are evaluated and improvements are implemented. Chemistry degree or relevant chemistry background is essential. Experience working within the hazardous waste industry. Computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
