Overview
As Operations Manager at Rutland Depot, you’ll steer the safe, reliable delivery of recycling and waste collection and street cleansing services.
You’ll lead supervisors and teams, ensuring high customer service and KPI performance while complying with contracts, policies, and health & safety rules.
You’ll collaborate with the client and internal stakeholders, manage reporting and finances, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Lead safety, policy compliance and staff training across the depot
- Maintain training records and update safety procedures as needed
- Foster strong client and stakeholder relationships; attend client meetings
- Deliver contract reports on time and drive timely follow-up actions
- Manage budget targets including overtime, staffing and revenue
- Oversee staff performance, conduct, and disciplinary processes per policy
- Drive efficiency improvements in waste collections and street cleansing
- Ensure equipment is operated safely with proper maintenance and training
- Maintain KPI reporting and respond to data requests
