Help us make a difference as Information Point Officer at our household waste recycling centre in Worthing.

HWRS Summer - 8:45am to 6.15pm
HWRS Winter - 8.45am to 4.15pm (Closed Thurs)

Salary : £13.42 per hour

A quick look at the role.

By serving the needs of the site operations in respect of operative services generally within (but not exclusive to) the following areas – picking and segregation of waste within the site and floor, cleaning of yard areas.

Advise and assist centre users, to maximise segregation and recycling. Redirect commercial customers and portray the best corporate image.

  • To be the face of the site by being the first member of staff to interact with the public.
  • To prevent commercial waste and non-compliant waste from entering the site.
  • To operate the booking system on the six booking sites.
  • To offer information to members of the public in order to assist the efficiency of the disposal of their waste.
  • To assist in the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the site, together with assistance to general public visiting the site.
  • To ensure that waste brought onto the site is segregated as much as possible for recycling. At all times adhering to Company policies and procedures including H&S, environmental and operational requirements.
