The site you will be based from is in Aldridge; however, once trained on Biffa systems, there is an opportunity to work remotely. Monday to Friday.
The quick look at the role: To provide administrative and systems support across Group Engineering, ensuring the effective management of engineering operations, mobile plant assets, financial governance, and engineering systems. The role is responsible for maintaining key platforms, including D365 and FleetWave, ensuring engineering, procurement, asset, financial, and operational data is accurate, controlled, and compliant with business standards. The position also supports engineering reporting, project tracking, document management, training coordination, and SharePoint administration to improve operational efficiency and support informed decision-making.
Core responsibilities:
- Administer D365 purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and financial records, ensuring compliance with company procedures and governance standards.
- Maintain FleetWave asset records, maintenance schedules, compliance data, utilisation information, and lifecycle documentation.
- Manage engineering databases, asset registers, telematics data, hire asset records, and operational trackers.
- Support asset replacement programmes, disposals, quotations, and lifecycle management activities across the mobile plant fleet.
- Produce and maintain engineering reports, KPI trackers, dashboards, and compliance data to support operational decision-making.
- Coordinate engineering projects, governance records, training administration, and compliance documentation including LOLER, PUWER, inspections, and certifications.
- Administer SharePoint sites, Microsoft Lists, document libraries, and engineering systems to ensure effective data and document control.
- Liaise with engineering, operations, procurement, finance, suppliers, and third parties while supporting continuous improvement of engineering systems and processes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within an engineering, asset management, fleet, or operational administration role.
- Experience working with financial and procurement systems.
- Experience maintaining operational databases and trackers.
- Experience supporting engineering or fleet operations.
