Shifts: Monday to Friday
Hours: 9 hours a day (anywhere between 6am - 5pm)
Annual Salary: £30,139 - also a daily bonus up to £15 a day
A quick look at the role: You will be responsible for operating Mobile Plant and Fixed Plant. You'll be trained on all mobile plant including Shovel Loader, Grab Loader and Telehandler in all aspects of production processes. You will be required to assist on the Weighbridge when needed. Conduct housekeeping duties and work within company H&S standards and procedures.
Your core responsibilities:
- Operate mobile plant machinery such as loading shovels and telehandlers to handle and process waste materials safely.
- Conduct daily checks and routine maintenance on mobile plant equipment to ensure it remains in good working condition.
- Load, unload, and transport waste materials across the site while following safety and environmental guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining site cleanliness by keeping work areas free from hazards and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Follow operational procedures and permit conditions when handling different waste streams to prevent contamination and ensure compliance.
- Identify and report any machinery defects, malfunctions, or potential safety risks to the relevant personnel.
- Support waste processing activities, including sorting, shredding, and compacting, as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and drivers to ensure smooth and efficient site operations.
