A quick look at the role

As a Senior Project Data Analyst within our Data Migration team, you will be instrumental in migrating data from legacy systems to business-critical enterprise systems, either as part of transformational projects or supporting the seamless integration of newly acquired waste management businesses. Reporting to the Data Migration Lead, your primary responsibility will be to manage end-to-end data migration processes — ensuring that source data is transformed, validated, and ready to be loaded accurately into enterprise platforms.

.

Your core responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust ETL processes to migrate operational and commercial data from legacy and acquired systems into corporate platforms.
  • Work with SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS), Alteryx or Talend to develop, test, and optimize data workflows.
  • Analyse, cleanse, and prepare datasets including customer accounts, waste collection schedules, depot and vehicle data, and billing records.
  • Validate migrated data with business users to ensure accuracy and operational readiness prior to go-live.
  • Create clear documentation for transformation logic, migration procedures, and issue resolution.
  • Contribute to best practices and standardization of migration approaches across acquisitions and system projects.

.

Our essential requirements

  • Proficient in SQL and ETL tools (e.g., SSMS, SSIS, or other ETL Tools) with a track record of executing data migration projects
  • Experience handling large volumes of transactional and operational data from complex source systems
  • Strong data profiling; root cause analysis; and transformation capabilities
  • Knowledge of the waste management industry or similar field services/logistics desirable
