Project and Audit Manager

A quick look at the role.

As Subcontract Services Project and Audit Manager, you’ll take ownership of developing and maintaining departmental processes, ensuring the wider team and business are kept fully informed of any changes. You’ll review and document operations across key service areas (Biffa Assist, SWR Supply Chain, OneCall, and Skoup), delivering projects in line with Biffa’s Project Management Standards. You’ll also lead supplier compliance through audits and documentation, manage the Compliance SharePoint hub, and step in to support departmental operations when the General Manager is unavailable.

Your core responsibilities

  • To manage all assigned projects, ensuring completion upon time and within budgets to the correct quality, including leading on all acquisitions that affect the Sub-Contract Services team.
  • Manage the processes and procedures used within the department, ensuring they are up to date and relevant and support any changes within the business and department – processes to be reviewed every 4 months.
  • Manage project progress in line with company standards and set up QA control systems and procedures.
  • Works closely with relevant stake holders to ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).
  • Submits project status reports to stakeholders; including progress, risks and updates.
  • Provide assistance with period end reporting, by providing accurate data which will affect the P&L and period end reports.
  • Responsibility for Supplier Compliance, including face to face audits, management of desktop audits and compliance documentation, management of Compliance SharePoint hub and Waste Transfer documentation.

  • Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn and adapt
