Help us make a difference as an Account Manager. Monday to Friday - 37.5 hours per week. Office base - Ford, West Sussex.
A quick look at the role:
- To provide efficient and effective management of the Recycling & Waste Handling Contract to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled whilst maintaining a positive and productive partnership with West Sussex County.
- Lead the sourcing of outlets for output materials not handled by the Biffa Commodities Team.
Your core responsibilities:
- Responsible for the contractual relationship of the West Sussex County Council (WSCC) Recycling Waste handling Contract and MRMC Contract with Biffa Contract management, upstream and downstream.
- To include strategic, operational and compliance elements that ensure maximised recycling.
- Preparation and submission of monthly reports to West Sussex County Council (WSCC).
- Create and sustain a positive working relationship with West Sussex County Council (WSCC) to support profitable operations for both parties.
- Client liaison and management to ensure all operational and contractual obligations under the RWHC are met.
- Be the main point of contact for the WSCC Contract managers on all contractual and operational issues, ensuring contractual timescales are achieved or exceeded.
- Maintain contractual records and documentation such as correspondence & change notices at all times.
Our essential requirements:
- Degree-level education, ideally in an environmental discipline.
- IOSH Safety for Managers with solid knowledge of environmental and H&S legislation.
- Experience managing a PFI contract or similar, preferably within a local authority setting.
- Ability to manage, interpret and integrate data through BI systems (desirable).
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, engage and drive high-performing operational teams.
