Join Biffa and play a vital role in keeping our communities clean, safe, and sustainable. We’re looking for a proactive Operations Supervisor – Streets to lead the daily delivery of street cleansing and waste services, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance across all activities.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing teams, resources, and schedules to deliver efficient street cleansing and waste collection services. You’ll ensure that all operations run smoothly, meet contractual standards, and uphold Biffa’s high standards of safety and performance.
- Coordinate daily operations, crew deployment, and allocate vehicles, equipment, and materials to meet service requirements.
- Team Leadership: Manage inductions, attendance, and performance, providing coaching and support in line with company policies.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure accurate completion of reports, timesheets, and schedules, maintaining full compliance with contract and company standards.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Local Authorities and partners, representing Biffa professionally at meetings.
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery, support business objectives, and complete all required training.
Full, valid UK driving licence (able to drive vehicles up to 3.5T). Proven experience supervising teams within operations, waste management, logistics, or a similar environment.
