We’re looking for an experienced Transport Manager to take ownership of a 30+ vehicle fleet and 34 drivers to lead the day-to-day operations of our Traffic Office in Ipswich. You’ll play a key role in delivering safe, compliant, and efficient transport operations while driving performance and customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role with real responsibility and impact.
Your core responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate drivers, dispatchers, and operatives across multi-shift operations
- Manage fleet compliance, vehicle safety, and operator licence requirements
- Drive KPI performance across safety, service, and cost control
- Ensure full compliance with transport, environmental, and H&S legislation
- Champion a strong safety culture, including near-miss reporting
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers

- Proven experience in transport or logistics management
- National CPC qualification
- Strong knowledge of transport, environmental, and H&S compliance
- Commercially minded with experience managing costs and performance
- Confident leader and communicator
- Good local area knowledge and flexibility to travel when required
