The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring all public conveniences within the Stratford District and Town are opened and closed on time, maintained to a high standard of cleanliness, and cleaned in line with the contract specification. This role involves carrying out daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules, replenishing consumables, responding to one-off emergency cleans, and helping maintain a safe and welcoming environment for members of the public.

Your core responsibilities:

  • Open and close all public toilet facilities on time, carrying out daily cleans to the agreed contract specification and replenishing stock as required.
  • Complete scheduled daily, weekly, monthly, and four-weekly deep cleans, including waste removal and full sanitation of facilities.
  • Respond to one-off cleaning requirements caused by flood damage, fire damage, or vandalism to restore facilities to a safe and usable condition.
  • Ensure all cleaning activities are completed safely, reporting any maintenance issues, damage, or stock shortages promptly to management.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while maintaining high cleaning standards.
