Location: Site-based, Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station, Suffolk

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (08:00–16:00)

Make a real difference with Biffa as an Administrator, supporting one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure projects at Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station. This is a site-based administrative role within Biffa’s Specialist Services Industrial Division, supporting day-to-day operations including data entry, document control, weighbridge administration, and general office coordination. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate records, smooth communication, and efficient site operations. This long-term project spans 9–12 years and forms part of a major waste management contract similar to our successful work at Hinkley Point C.

  • Ensure accurate record keeping, timely processing of documentation, and effective day-to-day coordination of administrative tasks across the site.

Key responsibilities:

  • Process and maintain accurate records, ensuring all documentation is completed in line with company procedures.
  • Support weighbridge operations, including data entry and record keeping.
  • Assist with processing supplier invoices and maintaining accurate filing systems.
  • Maintain and update customer, contractor, and operational data across relevant systems.
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support booking and coordination of waste movements and lift requirements when required.
  • Manage and update document control systems (e.g. Teamcentre), ensuring records are current and accurate.
  • Support reporting requirements by extracting and compiling basic operational data where needed.

Essential requirements:

  • Previous experience in an administrative or office-based role.
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
  • Ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, contractors, and customers.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Additional requirements:

  • Successful candidate will be required to complete a CITB Operative Test.

Desirable experience:

  • Previous experience in logistics, construction, waste management, or a similar environment.
  • Familiarity with document control systems or weighbridge operations.
  • IOSH General Certificate (or willingness to work towards it).
