Overview
Mobile Plant Operative – South Kirkby, Wakefield
Salary: £32,454.24 per annum
4 on 4 off shift pattern – Days 06:00-18:00
In this role you will develop a good working relationship with the client representatives and employees as well as attend all site briefings and support a change culture when required.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the delivery of a safe operation within the transfer station & operational areas
- Ensure all mobile plant is maintained to manufacturers recommendation
- Follow all risk assessments and safe operating procedure that are relevant to the post
- Comply with and actively participate in company standards, procedures, environmental and quality systems.
- Ensure vehicles collecting materials are loaded to gain maximum payloads
- Control traffic flows are managed to ensure a safe operation
- Ensure any client vehicles tipping waste are prioritised to ensure contractual targets are achieved
- Keep all equipment clean and maintained to ensure a safe working environment
Essential criteria
- Previous experience operating mobile plant vehicles
- Nationally recognised training certificates for operating Mobile plant, Loading Shovel, 360 Excavator
- Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate this into high quality, high pace output.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels.
- Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance.
- Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan making best use of time.
