We are looking for Mobile Maintenance Technicians to cover the following areas (one per area):

  • Midlands (West) Birmingham, Tipton, Coventry
  • Midlands (East) Leicester, Nottingham, Melton, Lincoln (travelling via M42 / A42)
  • North West / Stoke Stoke, Manchester (Irlam), St Helens (travelling via M6 North)

The site you will be based from is in Aldridge.

A quick look at the role:

You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance activities, including inspections, condition monitoring, and routine servicing tasks. You will also provide technical feedback to help improve job plans and task lists within the CMMS. Your focus will be on reducing operational downtime through effective preventative maintenance and timely breakdown response.

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Shift pattern: 11 hours x 4 days

Core responsibilities:

  • Carry out mechanical repairs and support the electrical team when required
  • Use the CMMS system to complete PPMs and reactive work orders, ensuring detailed and accurate feedback is recorded to build equipment history
  • Work closely with operations to diagnose faults quickly and return plant to full working order
  • Identify potential failures and improvement opportunities to prevent repeat issues
  • Report all accidents and incidents via the safety management system to maintain a safe working environment
  • Undertake training as required, including MEWP, FLT, Telehandler, and Confined Space Entry

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification
  • Proven experience in fault diagnosis and rectification on complex plant and machinery
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and drawings
  • Strong knowledge of rotating equipment, shaft alignment, conveying systems, and service equipment
  • Competency using standard maintenance tools and equipment
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards

Desirable:

  • HNC in Mechanical or Plant Engineering
  • Experience with welding and basic electrical or instrumentation maintenance
  • A proactive, “completer finisher” mindset with strong attention to detail
