The site you will be based from is in Aldridge; however, once trained on Biffa systems, there is an opportunity to work remotely. Monday to Friday.

A quick look at the role:

To lead continuous improvement, digital transformation, and data governance across Group Engineering through the effective use of Microsoft Power Platform technologies. The role will develop and enhance reporting, automation, asset management, project tracking, and performance analytics solutions to improve efficiency, compliance, visibility, and decision-making. Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and external partners, the role will ensure engineering systems, data, and digital solutions support business objectives and the wider engineering transformation strategy.

Core responsibilities:

  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, KPI scorecards, and reporting tools to provide insight into asset performance, compliance, maintenance, projects, and operational efficiency.
  • Design and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, SharePoint solutions, and Microsoft Lists to streamline engineering processes and reduce manual administration.
  • Support and optimise engineering systems including FleetWave, D365, telematics platforms, maintenance databases, and mobile plant reporting tools.
  • Deliver analytics on asset utilisation, idle time, fuel consumption, maintenance trends, lifecycle costs, and overall fleet performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, system integration, standardisation, and digital transformation initiatives across Group Engineering.
  • Develop and maintain project governance and tracking tools for major engineering projects, asset replacement programmes, and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure engineering data, asset registers, compliance records, and financial information remain accurate, controlled, and aligned with governance standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, IT, and external partners to deliver scalable digital solutions that improve business performance.

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Advanced Microsoft Power Platform capability
  • Experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Experience using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, and Microsoft Lists
  • Experience working with engineering, operational, maintenance, or asset management data
  • Experience in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement
  • Experience managing multiple datasets and business systems
