Operate LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste material to landfill. Maintain a good standard of vehicle cleanliness and develop a good working relationship with 3rd party off takers. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and contractual requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Operate LGV vehicles for the transportation of waste material to landfill
  • Complete daily pre-start checks on vehicles before operation
  • Comply with driver hours rules and transport legislation
  • Maintain a good standard of vehicle cleanliness
  • Undertake vehicle wheel torque checks on a weekly basis
  • Ensure compliance with defect reporting procedures
  • Ensure the contract runs in compliance with internal and external safety / environmental / permit / planning processes and procedures, as well as any contract requirements
  • Maintain robust documentation records

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as an LGV Driver and a current class 1 or class 2 license
  • Nationally recognised Driver CPC card
  • Driver Digital tachograph card
  • Demands high standards of themselves and others and can translate this into high quality, high pace output
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, cohesive relationships at all levels
  • Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to forward plan, making best use of time
