Responsibilities:

  • Achieve making material bales that meet off‑taker specifications from the MRF.
  • Control operations with the MDR MRF Baler Hall, working closely with the MRF Team Leader to ensure all aspects of the facility’s SHEQ are met.
  • Promote good housekeeping and ensure daily inspections are completed, raising any defects promptly.
  • Control stock levels through collections so the facility does not over‑fill.
  • Efficiently run equipment to maintain production from the main plant.
  • Perform daily checks on machinery and mobile plant.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations within the MDR MRF facility baler hall.
  • Ensure all bales are of suitable quality and correct bale length.
  • Manage reporting of all safety or environmental issues to the Site Management team.
  • Conduct regular checks on all MRF machinery and equipment, filling out associated paperwork timely and accurately.
  • Report plant breakdown or maintenance issues to the maintenance team and liaise until the plant is operational again.
  • Maintain plant performance to balance material quality targets with rejection rate targets.

Qualifications:

  • English literacy level 1 or equivalent.
  • Must be able to work at height.
  • Mobile plant licence (Fork truck, Tele‑handler, Loading shovel).
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
  • Good people and communication skills.
