As a Senior BI Analyst, you'll lead the design and delivery of high-quality reports, dashboards and analysis that help teams across operations, customer services, finance and commercial functions make better decisions.
Your core responsibilities
- Design and deliver management reports, dashboards and analysis for stakeholders across Biffa
- Lead BI and reporting projects from requirements and design through to implementation and adoption
- Partner with business teams to understand challenges, define meaningful measures and identify opportunities to create value
- Present complex analysis clearly to senior stakeholders, highlighting critical issues, trends and opportunities
- Create and enhance Power BI products and Fabric data models that are accurate, intuitive, performant and trusted
- Drive effective use of BI products through stakeholder engagement, training, usage monitoring and continuous improvement
- Act as a technical specialist within the BI team, reviewing outputs and mentoring and supporting other business teams
- Keep up to date with Microsoft data technologies, software developments and BI best practice
Our essential requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a business-facing BI, reporting or analytical role
- Advanced experience developing reports, dashboards and semantic models in Power BI
- Proven success leading and delivering BI or management information projects
- Strong SQL, data modelling and analytical skills, including experience working with Fabric
- Experience eliciting business requirements and translating them into clear technical specifications and valuable information products
- Ability to interpret complex data and present clear, compelling insights to non-technical and senior audiences
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, planning and problem-solving skills
- Experience coaching, mentoring or providing technical guidance to other analysts
