This role works closely with the Data Architect and Product Teams (Dayforce & D365) to create migration patterns which provide re-usable methods for migration ensuring data quality is enhanced and protected before load into the required system.

The role will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data challenges, gaps and develop data cleansing, mapping & migration tools to speed up data migration.

The role manages all technical aspects of data extraction, transformation, and loading using established methodologies and toolsets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee or manage extraction processes from systems to access raw data and engage business stakeholders on known data issues and required transformation logic, plus oversee or manage transformation & load activities.
  • Lead data analysis and profiling efforts to identify gaps, quantify potential issues, and develop Data Quality reporting tools in line with company standards.
  • Partner with Finance teams to validate migrated data against source system financial records, ensuring that these reconcile or being able to explain the discrepancies and impacts.
  • Document data issues, gaps, mappings, required business rules, and risks, validating this information with stakeholders.
  • Conduct data due diligence activities and mapping sessions with organisations Biffa is planning to acquire to determine how legacy data should be transformed and to ensure data quality and completeness is considered in the target’s valuation.
  • Manage a team of data migration analysts to deliver migration activities on time, providing the team with development plans and progression.

  • Extensive experience in transforming data through integrations.
  • Experience with project management and workflow tools (e. g., Azure Dev Ops)
  • Skills in technical report building tools such as Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform is preferred
