We are seeking to recruit a Technology Support Analyst to join our Technology and Information Management Teams in Edinburgh.

This is a crucial role focused on delivering a high‑quality IT user experience.

The work will be conducted in direct contact with users via the Service Desk and as part of a team to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the IT Service Desk using ITIL Best Practices.

Hours of employment are 35 hours per week, organised over Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality IT support to users through the Service Desk.
  • Collaborate with the team to maintain the effective operation of the IT Service Desk using ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure Bield’s technology investments align with the IT Strategy, follow best practice and deliver acceptable return on investment.
  • Travel to other Bield locations across Scotland as required.

Qualifications

  • Effective communicator with excellent analytical, data analysis and problem‑solving skills.
  • Previous experience on a Service Desk and with Microsoft Windows, Office and Server technologies.
  • Background knowledge in computer operations.

ITIL Foundation Level qualification desirable.

  • Recognised IT qualification, e. g. Microsoft or Cisco, desirable.
  • Current valid driving licence and access to a roadworthy vehicle insured for business purposes.
