As a Support Worker at Castlebrae Glebe you will have the opportunity to make meaningful differences in the lives of individuals, assisting them with daily tasks, promoting independence and fostering a warm and supportive environment. Hours of employment are: 24 hours per week, working 3 out of 7 days on a rota basis.

The Role

In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:

  • Assisting with household tasks
  • Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
  • Medication prompting/ administering

Please note for this role, and for genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint Female Support Workers (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

About You

  • Have good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
  • Have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
  • Hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
  • Be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
