Hours of employment: 24 hours a week on a shift Rota of 3 days a week.
The Role
- In your role as Support Worker, you will provide care and support to individuals in their own homes including:
- Assisting with household tasks
- Assisting and supporting with personal care, including intimate personal care
- Medication prompting/ administering
Please note for this role, and for genuine occupational requirement reasons, we are looking to appoint Female Support Workers (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).
About You
- You will have good communication skills, both verbal and written
- You will have the ability and initiative to work on a lone working basis
- You will have good time keeping, time management and organisational skills
- You will hold an SVQ2 in Health and Social Care, or have the ability and willingness to undertake this qualification
- You will be required to obtain registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of taking up the post
