General Assistant Opportunity in our Levenmouth Hub (Mainly Braehead Gardens). Bield is one of the largest providers of housing and support services to older people in Scotland, and everyone plays an important role in making sure that our services improve the lives of older people in Scotland.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our Levenmouth Hub (Mainly Braehead Gardens). Our caring team works to ensure people aged 50 and over have the opportunity to maintain their independence while taking over worries such as meals.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking a range of duties to ensure that internal communal areas are clean, hygienic, and meet the standards expected by our tenants and visitors to the development. You will also assist by preparing the dining room for mealtimes, heating prepared meals, and delivering them to tenants. In addition, you will be responsible for providing general advice and assistance to tenants on matters relating to their tenancy and the development.
This role requires working flexibly across all developments within the local hub in line with service needs, ensuring continuity and consistency for our tenants. Your main development will be Braehead Gardens.
Hours of employment
- 17.5 hours per week
- Thursday - 10:30 am to 2:00 pm
- Friday and Saturday - 10:30 am to 6:00 pm
- 30 minutes unpaid break
Role Requirements
You must have an interest in working with older people and an understanding of their needs. It is paramount that all food hygiene and health and safety standards set by Bield and external regulators are met; therefore, an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or equivalent would be desirable.
